Girl - Capucine Liberty Smocked Floral Cotton Dress
The Capucine looks like a garden caught at midnight: flowers and tulips in soft pink, peach, sage and powder blue, scattered across deep navy as though the colour only comes alive after dark.
Across the bodice, the smocking is manually worked using traditional artisanal techniques into fine, vertical pleats, almost rib-like in their precision. Along the lower edge, a zigzag border has been hand-embroidered in pink, sage and powder blue, defining the texture above it.
The long puff sleeves carry the same floral print down the arm, gathered at the cuff and finished with a fine green piping along the ruffle — a small, considered detail that catches the eye without asking for it.
The ruffled hem at the skirt finishes the dress with the same playful movement, the kind that makes a dress worth the twirl.
Inside the lining, a message has been hand-embroidered just for her: "This hand embroidered dress is unique and special, just like you." A small reminder left by the artisans, just for her to find.
