The Inner Mongolia Journey
María’s pursuit of perfection led her to Inner Mongolia, home to the world’s most coveted cashmere. For decades, she has personally travelled to this remote region, overcoming language barriers to collaborate closely with master spinners and weavers. The intricate designs and unparalleled softness of Cashmirino cashmere are the result of this enduring dedication.
The Italian Tale of the Dress
Creating a Cashmirino smock dress is a journey steeped in tradition. Each dress embarks on an intricate path through specialist ateliers in northern Milan, where cutting, stitching, and pressing take place. The hand embroidery alone demands up to 45 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, executed by embroidery specialists from their homes. Every detail is a dialogue between María and her artisans, ensuring the final piece is not just clothing but a work of art.
The Pathway to Peru
When María was invited by PromPerú, she instantly fell in love with the country’s rich artisan heritage, vibrant culture, and the unparalleled softness of handpicked Peruvian pima cotton and high-altitude royal alpaca. Peru’s centuries-old traditions of knitting and embroidery have been seamlessly woven into Cashmirino’s DNA, bringing its collections to life with breathtaking colour combinations and folklore-inspired designs.
