The Liberty Fabrics® Safari Yellow Stamp print is not one you glance at and move on from. Scattered across a warm cream ground are dozens of hand-drawn tiny framed illustrations, each one a different world: a cheetah, a lion, a hot air balloon, cherries, a pelican, a deck of cards and many more. The entire bodice is first manually smocked using traditional artisanal techniques, gathering the fabric into dense, even ribs. Over this, our skilled artisans have hand-embroidered a bold zigzag motif across the chest and continued a smaller version along the sleeves, each stitch placed by hand in pink, soft blue and yellow. The result is a bodice with real depth and texture — two traditional techniques layered together in a way that cannot be hurried or replicated by a machine.
