The Liberty Fabrics® Flowers at Night Lantana print sets its scene on a deep navy ground: large white flowers with warm rust centres, their petals loose and painterly, surrounded by leaves in light and dark blue that shift between them like shadows. It is a print that feels captured at dusk — that moment when colour deepens and everything becomes slightly more beautiful than it was a moment before.
The cotton-wool mix fabric — 83% cotton, 17% wool — gives the Alba a gentle weight that pure cotton cannot match: warm enough for winter, soft enough for a full day of wearing, and with a beautiful structure that allows the gathered skirt to fall with real intention.
Across the entire bodice, the fabric is manually smocked using traditional artisanal techniques into a dense diamond lattice, then hand-embroidered over the top in cornflower blue, baby blue and white. At the base of the smocked panel, the same threads form a zigzag border that frames the design and marks the transition to the full gathered skirt below. The result is a bodice that commands attention — a level of craftsmanship that takes time, patience and the skilled hands of our European artisans.
The Peter Pan collar is cut from the same Liberty print and edged with white sateen piping, bringing a soft contrast that frames the face beautifully. The same white piping finishes the puff sleeve edges, creating a refined thread of detail from collar to cuff. At the back, Cashmirino signature buttons and a self-fabric tie complete the silhouette.
Inside the navy dotted cotton lining, embroidered in white thread with a small baby blue heart, is a message just for her: "This hand embroidered dress is unique and special, just like you ♡". A small reminder stitched by hand for the moment she discovers it. The lining is finished with white crochet trim at the hem, and the hem itself has been left with room to let down as she grows.
