The Green Flowers Liberty print is the whisper: fine ink-drawn botanicals trailing across white, delicate and intricate, like a garden in early morning light. The clean bodice allows the beauty of the fabric to speak for itself.
Then the smocking arrives. Manually worked using traditional artisanal techniques, the entire waistband is gathered into a wide lattice of cobalt blue diamonds that wraps the dress from front to back. Inside each diamond, small motifs are hand-embroidered in green and red—a leaf, a cross, a flower—each placed carefully by hand. The smocking creates the structure; the embroidery brings it to life. Together, they become something closer to textile art than a simple dress detail.
The back bodice is cut from soft teal chambray, a deliberate contrast to the delicate floral front. Cooler, quieter and entirely intentional, it gives the Evelyn a second character when viewed from behind.
